This policy explains how thetazeta-dke.com (the "Site"), operated by the Theta Zeta Alumni Association, uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them. It is part of our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Some are essential to make the Site work, such as keeping you logged in to the alumni portal or protecting a form from spam. Others, such as analytics cookies, help us understand how the Site is used. "Local storage" works in a similar way and is covered by this policy too.
How we ask for consent
When you first visit, a banner lets you Accept all cookies, Decline all non-essential cookies, or Manage cookies to choose by category. Analytics cookies from Squarespace and Google Analytics are set only after you accept them. Essential cookies are always set because the Site cannot work without them. Your choice is remembered for 30 days, after which the banner appears again. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie Preferences control at the bottom of every page.

Third-party content
Some pages link to or embed content from other services, such as Google Maps (directions to the chapter house) and Mailchimp (newsletter archive). When you follow those links, those services may set their own cookies under their own policies.
How to control cookies
- Use the cookie banner when you first visit, or the Cookie Preferences control at the bottom of any page, to accept or decline analytics cookies.
- Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. If you block essential cookies, the portal login and forms may not work.
- To opt out of Google Analytics everywhere, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
